I'm a shy and silent type of girl that only wishes for atleast a 5'11" guy for her. Who would have thought a chubby, short and younger guy would court me? I never did. Then, I realized that love never looks into one's appearance. It makes you forget your ideal man but rather picks the right man for you.
It was summer of 2005 when a good friend of mine had her first boyfriend and got me so envious that I also wanted to have one. So, I told her and 2 of my colleagues that I'd place a bet that summer would not end without me having a boyfriend. I'd treat them with burgers if I'd lose and they'd treat me with a burger if I'd win. And so the lucky me won. A co-working student of mine somewhat courted me, but not really into actual courting but I understand it because I know it's his first time to do such a thing. He may have loved someone before, but I knew for sure that I'm the only girl he courted (or am I wrong?). He's also the only person who had the guts to court me. Maybe men were afraid because my father is a policeman or just maybe because I don't have a strong connection with men. To cut the story short, it was just 3 days left before summer ends when he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. I answered the astounding "Yes" after.
We've already been together for almost 6 years now and getting stronger. We had our ups and downs but we are always hopeful that we would end up in each others arms someday. We have opposite opinions on things and have different likes and dislikes. I love to travel and explore new places but he isn't the person who loves adventure.
Since I was a kid, my biggest dream was to travel around the world. Now that I am a grown-up my dream changed a bit. I want to travel around the world with my BF. I want my adventure to be his adventure as well. If only I could be able to fly with him either in Thailand, Paris, Singapore or Macau he might be able to change his mind and appreciate the beauty of travelling and going to new places. Then, he would have made my dream come true.
