Ingredients:
1/8 kilo ground pork
1 egg
1 tbsp flour
3 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 small onion
a dash of salt and pepper to taste
spring onion *Optional, for added color
oil for frying
Simply combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well, then fry. It's that easy. This is one of my go-to recipe whenever I'm in a hurry. It's almost similar as making an omelet hahaha.

I'm currently unto my sweet tooth season right now, so chocolates and anything sweet are driving me crazy. I have M&Ms and toblerone in my office drawer both waiting to be devoured. So before I give in to pure chocolate haven, I'll first have a bite of these "Sweet Little Things" cupcakes. Yes, they are sweet in a good way because of just the right amount of sweetness you can't resist. I could probably eat 2 cupcakes at a time if not for my so-called "diet", hahaha... These Sweet Little Things are the little ones that really makes a big difference. I could easily say these are the best cupcakes I've had so far. Fruit flavored cupcakes really have fruits in the cake itself unlike other cupcakes that has fruits on top for decoration purposes only. Just to realize that only the top part is good but the cake itself lacks flavor.

These cupcakes are priced at P68.00/piece, P158/box of 3s and P298/box of 6s. So it would be better if you buy 6 to save more. Don't worry, you won't regret paying for it anyway.
I'm now craving for these delectable cupcakes as I'm writing this post. And would it be nice if
FOODPANDA(
online food delivery at http://www.foodpanda.ph/. Yes, they do deliver cakes and pastries as well) could deliver these cupcakes right into my doorstep while I'm still drooling from the pictures posted in here? Hehehe.
Oops, did I also forget to mention that their chocolate variants are to die for? Really... very moist and not too sweet, I recommend the mudpie by the way. ;)

Does Siam Thai Cuisine got it's name from the Siamese twins? hahaha, LOL. That I don't know, but what I do know is they serve my favorite Thai food so far. Though honestly, I haven't tried a lot of Thai restos but atleast this one exceeded my expectations.
I love it when we celebrate birthdays by dining in restaurants instead of the usual lunch celebrations at home. I get to try the dining in restaurants I've been longing to visit especially those whose menu are best for share or groups. My younger bro M's 14th birthday was celebrated in Siam Thai Cuisine where we had dinner that night. Though my father is soooo against dining in restos as he thinks their too overpriced, I always argue that it's nice to be served once in a while and it compensates to good service restaurants provide. And speaking of service, thumbs up to Siam for an excellent service.

What I love most about this restaurant is that their food has a distinct taste that's not usually associated with Filipino cuisine, maybe Thai food do tastes like those. And one of my fave is their Halo-halo which closely resembles that of
CoolSavers Halo-halo.

Another very late post of mine taken last year for another group foodie adventure. I've heard a lot of positive reviews and feedback about CYMA so I actually had high expectations. Located at the Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu, CYMA has a nice and elegant dining ambiance. You have the option to dine either inside or outside(preferably for smoking customers).
What we had were all based from online recommendations because none
of us have any idea of what to order. All are first timers and are not
familiar with the Greek menu.
 |
Saganaki(Flaming Cheese) - Cyma Original
- Mozzarella, Parmesan and EVOO |
 |
Hummous
- Velvety chickpea, tahini and garlic dip served with warm pita bread. |
 |
Chicken Gyro
- With tomatoes, white onions, tzatziki and wrapped in pita |
 |
Mixed Meat Gyro
- Marinated pork and beef |
 |
Pastitsio - Baked Macaroni
- layered macaroni and savory meat sauce, topped with Greek bechamel |
 |
Moussaka(Greece’s National Dish)
- layered seasoned ground pork and beef, roasted Japanese eggplant and Greek bechamel sauce |
Sorry to say this but all of what we had except for the Gyros tastes bland. It just lacks flavor or uumph... I expected the cheese to be a little bit salty than the others we had ordered, but still the same - it tasted bland. The primary upside for this was the handsome waiters/servers that looked very professional and speaks English well(nosebleed). As well as the pleasant service they offer. So I don't mind paying for the service charge.
I therefore conclude, I'm not a Greek. I'm a 100% Filipino ;).
A coffee shop for waffle lovers??? OMG, I wanna try. So after months of craving and failed attempts, I finally got to try the "now--infamous" waffle.
I looove waffles as much as I love pancakes. (Do they taste the same and differ only in shape? hahaha). I have tried The Famous Belgian Waffle in SM but despite it's captivating and stimulating aroma, I didn't get hooked. It's too thin for its price, hahaha. The stingy side of me kicked in again.
Back to the topic. Without further ado, let me introduce you to Waffle Island's special??? waffle.
 |
| Wow, looks huge. |
Honestly, this is my first time to try this kind of waffle with cream and fruits on the side. Yeah I know, I'm that ignorant or should I say inexperienced? It may have not wowed me that much but I think it's worth every penny and another try. I'd surely try that fruit waffle next time.
Oh! and about the taste - good. Maybe not as special as the others probably, but I think its way better than The Famous Belgian Waffle. Sorry TFBW, didn't really mean to offend you but I think you should provide thicker waffles, :). And I'm so sorry for the comparison.
Enough of that, a big thumbs up to Waffle Island Coffe Shop. Till my next visit.

I so so so love these Groupon deals. I can try out and discover different restos in Cebu. Another good find is Chez Toztar in A.Climaco St. Capitol Site.
We hiked from Cebu Doctors Hospital to Chez Toztar one sunny noon to
redeem our Groupon and most especially celebrate another year with BF
:). We arrived at almost 12nn and we were the only customers there. The
place looks elegant with a homey vibe. I think its a home converted into
a restaurant, I think.
So what did we order? I had the very creamy Zitti while BF chose to
have a rice meal and opted for Chez Baby Back Rib. I liked that the
Zitti was so creamy and not too salty. The creamy cheese sauce was to
die for except for the overpowering spices that was too pepper-y. And I
did note that I was disappointed with the sliced bread on the sides. It
would have been better if it were a garlic bread or bread with butter.

A proof of how yummy their back ribs really were - imagine BF
consuming 3 cups of rice for that rib. LOL - for real... It was indeed
yummy, it may not be as huge as
Casa Verde's(though
Simply Js is still
the best), but it was equally or more flavorful. So don't miss ordering
this one if you're into red meat. Also note that serving sizes are good
enough for sharing.

The flavored fizz is also a must-try. I prefer my strawberry flavored soda than BF's green tea-lychee (love your own? hehehe).

One of the restaurants I've been meaning to visit since then is Dong Juan. As a "self-professed" burger fanatic, I promised myself to never miss to try their famous Dong Juan Burger, and thus it didn't disappoint.
 |
| Dong Juan Burger - P139 |
This huge and succulent burger is now my favorite and I can't wait to visit Dong Juan again. A burger with tomato, pickles, lettuce and zucchini with potato chips on the sides. Thumbs up also to the burger bun which looks like a wheat bun. This is way, way better than the frustrating
Buddies Burger.
 |
| Carbonara - P 149 |
 |
| Chorizo Pasta - P129 |
 |
| Mozzarella sticks - P179 |
The pastas were both superb in flavor and taste. I liked that they use eggs instead of cream in their carbonara. I usually prefer the classic carbonara with eggs. The chorizo pasta is the best for me, its sweetness is not overpowering. When I come back here, I'll surely order the burger and chorizo pasta again, ;).
 |
| Cheese and garlic pizza - P249 |
The pizza was our least favorite as its just topped with cheese and garlic. All of us aren't fond of garlic so we weren't able to finish this one. Nonetheless, it's best for garlic lovers out there.
Can't wait for my next visit to Dong Juan, nom nom...
