I finally had the chance to blog about my favorite burger in town so far. Yep, it's available at Don Mertos Restaurant, Cebu. In my Army Navy post, I mentioned that their burger only comes in second to Don Merto's burger. So here it is.

Last year 2011, me and BF visited Don Mertos Restaurant at SM City Cebu because I was able to purchase a discounted voucher at Buyanihan, a group buying site. The voucher is worth P300 good for a P600 meal on food excluding drinks. This restaurant serve traditional Asian and Western cuisine. We arrived in the resto and the waitperson greeted us and accompanied us to our seats. We were given a wide array of menu like salads, soups, main dish, pasta and etc.

The Food

Before our food was served and while waiting for it, we were given complimentary bread with butter. So amazing... I think this is the first time I had eaten in a resto that offers some complimentary food(ignorant much? hehehe). I love bread especially with butter so I immediately got one and ate it.

Our food was then served and it all looks enticing. The burger was served in a big plate with fries on the side. It looks very good that I don't want to eat it, hehehe. It was a huge burger that I find a hard time biting it. And it was the best. It was well worth it. All the vegies and spices all compliment each other. The patty was very juicy as well.

Other dishes we had were the "baked penne", and the beef one that I forgot the name. All were of big servings and definitely worth the price. All of it were similarly delicious. The baked pene was cheesy and creamy and not too salty, just enough. The beef was very tender and saucy.

The Verdict

I want to mention it again, that this had been my best dining experience to date and my best burger experience so far. The place might be small but "some things come in small packages". Definitely a Cebu restaurant worth visiting.
