Call me a prey, piggy, food addict, call me anything you want. I'm guilty as charged. Although I always remind myself to do the -D I E T- I'm always having a hard time to do so especially when you're served with everything yummy. Speaking of yummy eats, here's another good discovery of mine, Leona's cupcakes. My first bite of their yummy cupcakes feels like heaven. Not only that it's my first gourmet cupcake but its also my first taste of red velvet. Definitely a lot of 1st's.
Red velvet cupcake - the insides |
I once bought a red velvet cupcake as a gift to my grandma. Despite buying it, I haven't got to taste a red velvet cake or cupcake before. So the urge to buy myself one is growing day after day. Finally, I was able to buy this red velvet cupcake and brought it at home to share with my siblings. Presentation-wise, I give it an A cause it looks very enticing. Topped with cream frosting and white candy sprinkles, its a must-try for all sweet-toothed and cake fanatics. Actually, it isn't really that sweet that makes you drool and makes you stop only at first bite. The sweetness is just enough to keep you eating and craving for more. Red velvet tastes so differently and in a good way (has a hint of chocolate). This luscious, smooth and moist cupcake is definitely worth every penny I spent. You can get this yummy desert for only P50.00.

Leona Cakes and Pastries is a another proudly Cebuano bakeshop that serves delicious and affordable cakes. So aside from my favorite and cost-effective cake at Angelicas Bakeshop, I give myself a dose of Leona's wide array cake slices once in a while.
** They also offer other gourmet cupcake variants like Cookies and Cream, Apple Cinnamon, Dulce De leche and etc. They also have mini red velvet cupcakes which costs P50/6pcs. Leona Cakes and Pastries have branches near UC Banilad, Mabolo Cebu City and SM City Cebu.
