Summer is all about swimming. It has already become a tradition for Filipinos to go to beaches or pools whenever its summer. Because students are free during this season, it is the best time for family bonding and/or barkada outings. This summer of 2012 had been slighty hectic for me. I had attended quite a number of activities like birthday parties, barkada(friends) outing and gatherings, family outing. The latter would be my focus in this blog post. Our family's summer bonding this year is at Agus Hotel Resort, Agus, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Initially we plan to go to Green Lagoon Resort in Compostela but because they don't accept reservations through phone we decided to look for another resort.
Going to...
- via Public Transpo: You can hire a tricycle to drop you off at the hotel.
- via Private vehicle: Ask for directions going to Brgy. Agus and from there navigate your way to Agus Hotel Resort.
** It is not located along the main road but it can be seen rightaway as its hotel is high enough to be seen from the main road.
The Place
Agus Hotel Resort does not have a beach. It has 2 big pools and a number of jacuzzi-like pools. It has also a mini cave bar that's very unique. The bar - though not operational - is situated inside a man-made cave in the pool. What I love about this resort is that it is very well-landscaped. Plants and trees are well taken cared of. As I've always say, "I love greens(plants) and the environment". Nipa-hut like cottages are big good for 6-10 persons. Cottages are strategically located in shaded areas so you won't be fried by the heat of the sun.

There is a side of the pool for kids and another side for adults. Parents shouldn't worry as there's a lifeguard that watches the entire pool and whistles those who don't obey rules. There is also a standby pool cleaner that maintains pool's cleanliness.
The Verdict
A great and peaceful place to bond with your family and friends. I would like to come back here again and hopefully next time with my friends. All of us are very satisfied and happy that we chose this resort. For me, it is the best budget pool-only resort in Cebu so far.
