The moment of truth has finally come. This is it, the concert event I previously mentioned here and here. My dreams have now become a reality. O.A. (overacting) much, hehehe? Enough about my feelings, lets move on to the show proper.
David Cook concert in Cebu 2012 was held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom in Waterfront Hotel and starts at 8pm. As newbie attendees with free seating tickets, I told BF we should be at the venue early so we could get good seats. We arrived around 7:20pm and a number of Cebuanos are already at the venue. Bronze ticket holders like us are designated on the right side of the ballroom. Seats were not full yet especially in the center and VIP areas. My intuition was right, this isn't a sold out concert that's why tickets were sold on discounted prices. But that won't ruin my excitement.

The concert started with V-Fort, a 3 men group managed by Viva Entertainment, as opening acts singing a medley of Katy Perry songs, I think. They also sang a cover of Pink's Perfect and their latest single "Prinsesa".

After V-Fort's performances was a short break in order for Cook's band to setup instruments on stage. At around 9pm, the crowd went wild as the idol David Cook appeared on stage. His first song was "Circadian" from the album This Loud Morning. He sang his songs one after the other - The Last Goodbye, Light On, Come Back To Me, Fade Into Me, etc.. Wow, he's amazing! You can really feel his passion for music. Most of which he sang were rock songs, very loud and I like it. One thing we also noticed was that he always changed his guitar on each song - about 5 guitar switches. He also showcased his guitar playing skills that left the audience in awe.
The song that made a great impact to the audience was his famous cover of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby". People sang with him. The show ended at around 10:30pm.
Though I want more of David Cook but all shows must come to an end. It was definitely a blast and my first ever concert experience was a success. Thanks to BF for the support and company and I love you David Cook. Hahaha
