BF and I planned to watch the
Japanese Film Festival last Saturday for the scheduled screening of Colorful at 1:30pm. However, due to a clinch of memory gap and lack of will thereof, we came late. Tickets were already soldout so yeah, we're a bit disappointed but not that much. What matters to us is the bonding moment we shared which we missed for quite sometime now(feeling bagets-youngsters).

Back to the original topic, we were late because we had lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters. No, I'm not blaming this restaurant it was totally our fault and only our fault, hehehe. BF wanted to have our lunch first before going to the cinema as he was very hungry already. First on our option are the fastfoods like
Jollibee, McDOnalds and
KFC. But since I'm a picky foodie and want to try other restos so as to blog/review it as well I suggested we try Kenny Rogers. This is actually our second time here. We are not actually fond of dining here not only is this the only branch here in Cebu but because I always find their meals more expensive than fastfoods. But my perception about the latter has now changed. I think the price is not really cheap but its quite affordable.

Kenny Rogers do have a wide array of menu. We ordered a Healthy Plate meal(P199) plus additional rice(P30) for BF and Combo Meal (P125 spaghetti, chicken, muffin, softdrink) for me. The healthy meal includes fresh fruits and vegetable salad with caesar dressing. The fruits like peach, pineapple and apple were fresh and served in a small bowl while the vegetable salad is served in a saucer.
Kenny Rogers is famous for their oven-roasted chicken and I can assure you, it tastes sooo goood. The chicken is very tender and juicy. Chicken size is as big as those of fastfoods but without the crust/breadcrumbs. The spaghetti tastes like the usual spaghetti, nothing spectacular. The vegetable salad tastes bland, its like eating freshly picked vegies with mayo. The other stand out aside from the chicken is the muffin. I think its corn muffin. I like the muffin coz its not too sweet and a bit crunchy. I really like to munch on crunchy foods. I love the sound of it. Chicken is well to go with this cute little corn muffin.
The Verdict - I always give a thumbs up to restaurants where price is proportionate to the meals served, meaning its your money's worth. So this one passed to my pocket and appeppite and we did went out full with just P354.00 spent.
