This is the second part of my Buddies review(first part is
here). This post would be a review of those I ordered for takeout. This cost me a little over P800, which is the remaining GC amount I had after having our sizzling plates lunch. I ordered 2 french fries, cheese fries, fried chicken, philly cheesesteak, carnitas burrito, beef quesadilla, burger and cheeseburger.

Jollibee-like, yummy fries @P45 |

my favorite cheese fries @P65 |
First, the french fries is love. It tastes and smells like my favorite Jollibee fries. I almost finished the 2 orders of fries by myself. While the regular fries is love, the cheese fries is the best. Eventhough it may look like regular fries topped with cheezwhiz-like cheese, it definitely tastes extraordinary. The cheese wasn't too salty, it complimented well with the fries - I was craving for this.

fried chicken @P85 |

philly cheesesteak @P150 |
The fried chicken isn't worth mentioning, just ordinary fried chicken with the same gravy sauce that of sizzling plates. The most expensive meal I've ordered is the philly cheesesteak. I believe this is one of their bestsellers but this isn't for me. I find the bun too soggy, that it doesn't go well with the stuffed beef steak. The steak is too salty for me(salty with a hint of sweetness, kinda confusing). I just wasn't impressed.

beef quesadilla @P135 |

carnitas burrito @P135 |
My favorites are the beef quesadilla and carnitas burrito. What I liked about the beef quesadilla is that it's very cheesy and it has the right amount of seasoning and spices with the fresh and soft tortilla. The burrito is big enough for its price though there is much rice than spices, it still tastes good. The rice isn't that overpowering either.

burger @P89 |
|
cheeseburger @P104 |
Buddies is famous for its burgers, so here is my review of it. The burger patty is indeed delicious and very juicy just like its sizzling steak counterpart. The burger comes with my favorite lettuce, onions and tomatoes. My only complaint is that its physical appearance doesn't look enticing. It looks so small and ordinary for its price - nothing fancy. They should've offered combo meals for their burgers as well as ordering fries and soda separately seems more expensive.
Burger Joint is still my no. 1 in terms of burger.
So, will I go back to Buddies? Probably not for their burgers, I'd rather order the
sizzling plates or the quesadillas. Another comment though, all those we've ordered simply looks ordinary, like home-cooked meals. I do hope they'd improve and offer better dishes. I think the owners of Buddies are pure Cebuanos, so I wish them good luck and hope they'd level-up their product offerings and hopefully lower the price down a bit, hehehe.
