I always love to try out expensive restaurants since and Anzani is one of them. I've heard about this restaurant in forums and blogs. Most of what I read were positive feedback especially in terms of its "romantic ambiance" and breathtaking view. Anzani is nestled on the topmost part of Lahug, Cebu City so expect an overlooking view from the restaurant's terrace.
Going back to the expensive part, I haven't imagined myself dining here due to financial constraints or budget matters. Luckily my BFF V. bought an Anzani promo deal from Ensogo for P500 valued at P1000 worth of food and drinks. Supposedly, she would be with her BF but he's out of town and the voucher would be expiring soon so she asked me to accompany her. Without any hesitations, I surely/gladly accepted the invitation (who am I to say no? It's Anzani, hehehe).
As a budget-conscious duo, we traveled to Anzani via public transportation. From Escario, we rode a jeepney that pass to Plaza Housing. We paid minimum fare costs at P8.00 each.

Upon entering the restaurant, the romantic and elegant ambiance can be readily felt. It has a silent atmosphere though there were many diners that time. We settled in at the comfy sofa chairs outside where you can breathe cold, fresh air.
What we had?
We slightly had a difficulty in ordering as we were amazed??? with the menu and the prices as well. We were not familiar of most dishes in the menu so we just analyzed what could it be based on the highlighted ingredients. In the end, we picked Arborio With Baby Mix Seafood(risotto), Black Ink Fettuccine, Top-taste iced tea P70 and Moroccan iced tea P65.

First to arrive were our drinks. Moroccan iced tea for me and Top-taste iced tea for V. So is it any good? Both iced teas taste uniquely different from commercialized iced teas. My only concern is that we don't like it. My Moroccan tea tastes bland. Seems like it lacks more sugar and it tasted a lot like the worst iced tea I've ever tasted at Banana leaf which is their Pandan iced tea that tastes like cold and sweetened "tinolang manok", hahaha. Call me ignorant, but its my opinion and its not my preferred taste. As for BFF's iced tea, it tastes better than mine. It's more on the citrusy/orangey side, so it has more texture. While waiting for our orders, we were given complimentary bread and spreads which is pictured on top. My favorite of the 3 was the red one which is I think made of tomatoes. If you spread this to your bread, it will taste like spaghetti, yummy!

Would I go back to Anzani? Definitely yes, but it all depends on my budget. I would surely love to dine here again and again. What I liked most about this resto is their unique and elegant menu offerings and well-prepared dishes. You'd definitely gonna feel sossy in Anzani.
