Whenever I travel to different places, one of my ultimate goal is to try their famous delicacies or dine in popular budget restos in the area or eat anything unique in the place. Good thing, I wasn't that ripped off during our Hongkong/Macau trip so I was able to try Hongkong food and not just the ordinary/common fastfood variants. The only fastfood meal I bought(with the exception of the Popeye's breakfast meal at the airport) was the McDonalds Big Mac in Hongkong which I think is the best value for money during our trip. I get to spend only 21HKD for a Big Mac with medium fries and medium drink.
Moving on, Hongkong isn't a rice haven so expect a scarcity of rice meals that even the famous McDonalds doesn't offer rice meals. But when restaurants do have rice meals, prepare your tummy to be half empty for the huge servings of rice. It was probably two cups of rice in a bowl. One thing I also noticed is that the smell of Hongkong reminds me of curry - I think. I could always smell this curry-like odor whenever we pass by food chains or shops. Meals are usually priced at 30-100HKD without drinks.
So without much further adieu, I'll let the pictures do the talking, hehehe.
