I really love celebrating events/occasions or anything similar. One of those I'd always look forward to is celebrating Valentines Day. I always make it a point to have dinner or be with BF during that day. I'm the proactive one when it comes to planning. While researching for a good place for Valentines, I bumped upon CMYK's facebook page. The best part is they are offering a Valentines promo. A fixed menu for 2 for only P599 net - consists of an appetizer, main course, dessert, drink and a polaroid photo. The impulsive side of me hurriedly sent a message via facebook to reserve a slot.

 On the day itself, Valentines Day, we arrived very early than scheduled. Good thing they still accommodated us though. The appetizer, I think is a vegetable lumpia, is very crunchy and deliciously perfect that it left us wanting more. Second was the main course. Mine was the sweet and sour pork while BF had the Cluck-cluck chicken???. Both were good(not great) and had adequate amount of rice(as a rice-eater, I always appreciate meals that has big servings of rice).

As for dessert, we were given a peach-colored funnel cake. The funnel cake - a cake fried to golden perfection - was also good, but slightly oily thus we find a hard time finishing it. It would have been better if it had more ice cream on top as it balances well with the oily texture of the cake. But nonetheless, I consumed most of it and I liked it. Do you know what I liked the most at CMYK? Their iced-blended drinks were huge and tastes very good. Although, BF and I (romantically) shared a glass of their iced-blended drink we could hardly finish it. He even brought up memories of the disappointing Buddies milkshake and compared how towering CMYK's is.  As I browsed the menu, I found out it was only priced at P130 which is definitely more than your money's worth.


BF and I were both itching to go back at CMYK for more of their deserts. We didn't order then coz we were so full already. I'd definitely be getting the deconstructed cheesecake, another glass of their iced-blended drinks and the overly protected girlfriend?(which slightly describes me, as told by BF).
