Vittles in a Box

Here's another short "commercial break" before I continue with my TAGAYTAY TOUR posts.

BF and I strolled around the new shopping center in Mambaling, Shopwise. Shopwise is a member of the widely popular Rustan Group of Companies. We went there to eat dinner. As we searched for good and budget-friendly foods, we then came across Vittles in a Box. This stall is located in front of the supermarket, on the left side when your exiting.

The food...
Steamed Rice
Fish Fillet with Tartar Sauce
This stall offers rice toppings. You choose what kind of viand you want. It is then placed on top of the rice. Some viands available during our visit were steamed rice, fish fillet with tartar sauce, chicken teriyaki, pork cocktail and more. BF chose fish fillet while I picked steamed rice. The steamed rice tasted ok, not as good as Dimsum Break's steamed rice but for the price it's reasonable. It has carrots, potatoes, sweet corn, tiny shrimps and a small amount of pork. Yes, the viand itself is not enough or proportional with the rice. The rice was like 1 and a half cup. So we just bought siomai and lumpia shanghai for additional viand so that we can finish our rice. BF's fish fillet tasted ok, meaning its "eatable" hehehe. It has a mayonnaise kind of sauce that is sweet. Still, very small serving.

Verdict:

I would still be back and try other varieties of Vittles in a Box. I think it is very affordable already considering its a complete meal and I'm a certified rice eater. P45 for a small box (1 cup of rice), P55 for the large one(1 1/2 cup of rice). We were very full after consuming it. It's very convenient, ready to eat and the box is very handy.
