It's always been a fun time to be with your friends especially when you don't get to see each other often. That was probably what we all had after our happy bonding moment with 5 of my closest friends from highschool. Though we were already in our mid 20's we're still kids at heart and cheerfully talked about anything under the sun.

We met up at Ayala Center Cebu last Monday morning and agreed to dine at Casa Verde. I believe people's common ways of bonding is through food like what we(friends) usually do when we meet-up every December.

Casa Verde was our choice because most of us wanted to try their new Mighty Ton Burger(P850+) offering and the huge Milky Way Milkshake. Contrary to what was planned, we opted to order the not so special version of the Mighty Ton Burger which is The Big Bang Burger(P388). We also had the "well-named" Victoria's Secret Spaghetti(P145 - since my friend is a spaghetti-lover), 2 orders of the famous Brian's Ribs(P208/order with rice and corn-carrots sidings), the Milky Way Milkshake(P288) and 4 additional rice(P30/cup). We are composed of six women, did we order too much hehehe?

Brian's Ribs

First to arrive on our tiny table was the Victoria's Secret spaghetti. We didn't started to eat yet as we were very busy taking pictures, and a lot of pictures. When the Brian's ribs arrived, that's when we all started eating but still taking pictures at the same time(childish, ey?). The ribs were as usual very tender that you'd hardly use knife to slice it. My only concern is that the outer meat is very well marinated and flavorful however, the inner meat isn't. Felt like the meat inside tastes bland, just an opinion. But definitely the ribs are worth a try and is value-for-money coz it's really huge. 6 of us shared 2 orders of ribs - making that 1 order is good for 3 persons - and we still had a hefty of leftover ribs which my friend took home.

My take on the spaghetti is that it tastes very ordinary nothing special, and we all agreed. And I also find it too sweet for my taste. Right after finishing our rice meals, our Milky Way milkshake arrived and we were all in awe as to how big it is. The glass was towering probably 1 and a half feet. This one's my favorite, I love shakes though it's still kinda sweet for me but I had water on my side to overcome the sweetness. What's a shake if its not sweet, hahaha? The milkshake is very chocolatey and milky so yummy. This is best to share for 4-6 persons.

The Big Bang burger

The last meal we devoured (actually we didn't eat it all as we were all very full already, we got each a slice and packed it out for take-out) was the 9-inch The Big Bang Burger with fries. The burger has cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and ketchup, the fillings that I look for in a burger. And this one passed my tastebuds and will be included in my burger list located on the right side of this page. It was a wise decision to choose this one over the Mighty Ton as we were able to order more meals instead because of its affordable price. The burger may not be the best in terms of taste and quality but it is definitely a promisingly valued burger. We all didn't went home empty handed as we've each had our burger slices packed.

This ones a budget-friendly meal with budget-friendly friends. Hoping to see these guys again soon and more years of bonding moments to come. They always bring out the kid in me. :D

Note: The restaurant area inside is kinda small that we can hardly move in our seats. I think it's more preferrable to dine outside if it's not that hot so that you'd have more space to move around.
