It has always been my dream to experience all-out luxury in expensive 4 to 5-star hotels. I want to know what's actually in there that makes it too costly. But since I can't afford all those lavishness that is in a hotel, I'd opt to settle in lower class hotels. I know bit by bit I'd soon turn this dream into reality.

As a bit of a start, BF treated me to an overnight stay at Sampaguita Suites located near Robinsons Cebu. For only P998.00 all-in, this hotel is absolutely a great value for your money. The price may seem cheap, but the service and overall accommodation isn't.

We checked-in at 2pm and the reception personnel was very warm and pleasant. We paid for the room with P500 deposit which will be returned after checkout. We were then led to our room on the 2nd floor(same floor as the lobby).

Our first impression of the hotel is favorable. The room is clean and adequate enough for 2 persons. Amenities include towels, soap, cable TV, wifi, telephone, hot and cold shower and a small cabinet/dresser. The comfort room is quite small though, but its clean and looks new.

One commendable thing I noted in this hotel is that their staff are courteous and polite. I was amazed that whenever I bumped into their staff, they always greet you - good morning/afternoon - with a big smile on their face. This is a plus factor as service/courtesy is my topmost concern. The hotel itself is not strict as you can bring food from outside. We even called for fastfood delivery to be delivered to our room, no hassle.

This is the first of our hotel adventure and its definitely a great first time experience. Sampaguita Suites is a great economical hotel that I would recommend to budget travellers.
