First destination on our itinerary is Hongkong Disneyland. So after leaving our things in our hostel we proceeded directly to Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth. We took the MTR from our hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui to SunnyBay where you'd ride the Disneyland train going to Disneyland Resort. Remember if your on a Do-it-Yourself (DIY) trip to always look at your map as there are a few interchange wherein you need to hop to another train.

The ambiance of Disneyland is so lively starting from the cute interiors of the Mickey Mouse themed train up to the entrance itself down to the whole Disneyland Resort. It really brings out the kid in you. Despite our "no-sleep" and tired bodies, the resort kept us alive and lifted our spirits high. I can actually feel my smile running through my ears, I was that happy.

We spent the day roaming around while enjoying some of the fun and thrilling rides. If you want hardcore/thrilling rides try the Runaway Mine Cars at Grizzly Gulch, Space Mountain at Tomorrowland, and RC Racer in Toy Storyland to name a few. While for the kids and kids at heart, you can try the popular Cinderella Carousel ride at Fantasy Land, or watch the different shows of your favorite Disney characters. The one thing I regretted though was not having a picture with the Disney characters especially with my favorite princesses like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, etc.

With regards to food at Disneyland, it is quite expensive if you compare it to common food sold in Hongkong. Prices range from 20HKD(for snacks) up to 100HKD for a rice meal. We decided to have rice meals(65HKD) for lunch and was happy that we chose to have rice as the servings were huge. A bowl of rice meal can actually be shared by two people so you get your money's worth.

We were about to leave Disneyland at 3 or 4pm but good thing we were informed that the parade was about to start so we opted to stay and wait for the parade. For me, the parade is the best attraction in Disneyland. I was so glad that we decided to stay and watch the different Disney characters come alive and entertain us. They dance merrily while riding their respective floats and some dancers were street dancing on the ground. Then I saw the Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Disney Princesses and all of which I only saw in movies. I almost cried as my eyes and mind couldn't believe what I just witnessed. This may be what they call a "Dream turning into reality". I was very very happy.
After the parade, we immediately left Disneyland with enormous smiles on our faces. I then realized, so this is what they call "The happiest place on earth that brings out the kid in you". Yes, it did. Thank GOD.

inside Disneyland, there's this foodcourt-like area where different meals are served. i think its at tommorowland area, forgot to take note of the name though.
