TAGAYTAY TOUR: Picnic Grove

This had been our last day in Tagaytay and we've been busy packing our things. We made sure we got all our belongings along. We had our breakfast at 8am. This is a complimentary breakfast included in the Barkada Package that I mentioned in this post here. Nescafe 3 in 1 coffee or Milo, hotdogs, tocino, eggs and a platter of rice was our meal. By the way, I forgot to mention Kuya Jesse, the caretaker, who was always very accommodating. Before we left we grabbed the chance to play billiards and used the videoke which is for free. We all agreed that Mar-a-Lago Pension House was the best and it deserves a thumbs up.

Going to...

Last destination on our Tagaytay itinerary is Picnic Grove. We checked out at 10am. From the pension house we walked to the entrance/exit of the Subdivision and from there we rode a jeepney to Picnic Grove. Fare costs P8.00 only(minimum fare). Travel time was more or less than 5 minutes only.

The Place...

Picnic Grove boasts a lot of fun activities for all ages - horse backriding, zipline and cable car ride to name a few. It's rolling terrain and view deck offers breathtaking views of Taal Volcano Lake as well as of the coastal towns of Batangas. The area is very wide as it occupies 13.5 hectares of land. It has a function hall, dining and picnic areas good for family and/or barkada bonding.

Entrance fee is P50. Visitors can bring food and just rent a cottage, table or mat. You can also bring a mat or tent to avoid renting. We did not rent any of these coz we will not be spending much time there as we needed to head back to Manila before noon. There are also a lot of "pasalubong" and souvenir items sold in the area. These items are priced reasonably. I was tempted to buy because of the cheap prices. A white t-shirt for small-medium frames with "Tagaytay" prints costs only P100.00. Keychains are usually sold from 10-20 pesos each.

  1. My restlessness makes me a far better day-to-day traveler than he will ever be. I am infinitely curious and almost infinitely patient with mishaps, discomforts, and minor disasters. So I can go anywhere on the planet—that’s not a problem. The problem is that I just can’t live anywhere on the planet. Flights to kuala lumpur, Cheap Air Ticket to kuala lumpur
