My BFF's and I were already accustomed to meet during December for Christmas bonding and exchange gifts. We had been doing this for 3 years now and it was so, so fun. We usually meet up at SM Cebu as one of us is working there and we needed to stretch out our schedules especially with her working during our meetup dates. But this year is totally different, we decided to meetup at Shopwise Mambaling since most of us are from the South.
Agreed time was at 7pm just in time for dinner. Our preferred restaurant was a toss between Mooon Cafe and Joven's Grill. We chose the latter. Buffet or eat-all-you-can is P188 each, add P40 for unlimited drinks of Pepsi products. We preferred the seats outside as we are a group of seven "wonderful ladies" and tables inside and at the terrace can only accommodate 4-6 persons.

I/we hurriedly picked our food choices from the buffet. They have quite a number of viands probably about 10-15 selections and since I already ate some for dinner, I chose to pick more of the deserts other than the main course. The buffet was very good considering the price we paid, it was even worth more than what we paid for. They have a variety of square cakes with different colors and flavors that I really like. Their chocolate-tart(I think this is the name of it) was the best for me, not mentioning the very moist chocolate cake. They also have sushi and california rolls for Japanese fanatics, grilled pork and chicken, some seafood dishes, a soup, a few dimsum - steamed choices, some vegetables for salad, fruits like pineapple, apple and watermelon, and the noteworthy buttered chicken which is the star of our meal. I decided to have my second plate due to the overly delicous chicken and the bacon wrapped fish and most importantly the cakes.
We didn't have any complaints about the food. We all agreed about how yummy and delicious the foods were especially how affordable it is. They even have a free gift for those who dine in groups of 5, 10, 15 and more. After we paid the bill our gift was given to us. What is the gift? 2 bottles of 1.5L of coke, wow. We were indeed very lucky and contented that we chose Joven's over Mooon Cafe. This is a buffet totally worth another visit.
